Liz Austerman

Liz is responsible for all the essential infrastructure of the museum, ensuring that everything from visitor services and facility management to daily workflows functions seamlessly to support the institution’s mission. She is a 20-year veteran of Bay Area museums, with experience at Chabot Space & Science, the de Young, the Asian Art Museum, Habitot Children’s Museum, and Bay Area Discovery Museum. She earned a BA in Fine Arts at the Columbus College of Art & Design, and an MA in Museum Studies at John F. Kennedy University.
