Admission
Come curious. Starting April 17, 2027, the Museum will be open Thursday through Sunday, 11am–4pm, with extended evening hours Thursdays until 8pm.

Tickets are available online in advance or at the door. Walk-ins are welcome. We offer discounts for students, seniors, and educators. Members always enjoy free admission.Â

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), contactless mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay), and cash at the admissions desk. Online reservations require a credit, debit, or digital wallet payment.
Free Admission & Access Programs

- Museums for All (EBT): We believe in being accessible to everyone. Visitors presenting a valid EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) card along with a matching photo ID receive free general admission for up to four individuals per card.
- Free Admission Events: Enjoy free admission during special sponsored days throughout the year. Advance reservations are strongly recommended as capacity may be limited. Check out our events page for upcoming dates.
- Military Discounts: We offer discounted museum admission to all veterans and active service members with a valid military ID.

Street Parking
- Free 2-hour street parking Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- No restrictions after 6:00 PM on weekdays. Available all day on on weekends and holidays.
- Carpooling is encouraged.

Walk, Bike, Transit
We encourage visitors to walk, bike, or take public transit to the Museum whenever possible.
Walk or Bike
- The Museum is located on the Bryant Street Bike Boulevard at the corner of Homer Avenue.
- Bike racks are available to the left of the Museum entrance on Homer Avenue.
Train
- The Museum is a 6-8 minute (0.4 mile) walk from the Caltrain Palo Alto Station at University Avenue—an easy, pleasant stroll through downtownis
Bus
- VTA Bus 21 stops at Waverley Street and Homer Avenue, just a few blocks from the Museum.
- This route connects directly to the Palo Alto Caltrain Station, Stanford Shopping Center, and the Santa Clara Transit Center
